The Grade 2 program strengthens and expands children’s understanding of cleanliness, hygiene, responsibility, safety, and environmental awareness through the Japanese 5S and Gemba (San-Gen-Shugi) principles. Students learn not only to keep things clean and organized but also to observe their surroundings critically, understand the reasons behind good habits, and take responsibility for maintaining order in both personal and shared spaces. With lessons on waste segregation, resource conservation, health, safety, teamwork, and respect for public spaces, the program encourages students to practise disciplined behavior and become active contributors to a cleaner and healthier environment.
